Candide is a contemporary interpretation of Classic Greek sculpture. The woman are portrayed almost like goddesses: mystic and unreachable, symbolised by the cloth, that is wrapped tightly around them. The contemplative look reflects how a man sees a woman. He can only vaguely guess her real thoughts but he will never really unterstand them. The artist Ed van Rosmalen created these collecting figurines, which are hand painted and made of high-quality resin.
